Always enjoy visiting this cinema. Great for parking, air-conditioning inside (great for the weather we've been having) and all tickets (adults and kids) priced at £4.99 (at the moment). Refreshment prices are very expensive so be aware. On the whole a great place to visit.
Friendly and clean good customer service but it can be busy on the conncession stand just before the films start. Prices are very good value and seat were comfortable. The Imax screen has all leather seats and recliners at the front.

First time visiting this gem of a place and I was thoroughly impressed. Slightly more expensive now that the big multi-screen cinemas have dropped their prices, but you'll easily make a saving if you buy any refreshments (a cup of tea is just £1... remember that when you spend more on drinks than you did on your cinema ticket at a bigger cinema). The screen itself is beautiful, set up like an old theatre. The sound levels are just right too, which is something that can't be said about most cinemas.
I love Cottage Road Cinemas. I went there as a child and I now take my little one. It’s the oldest cinema in Leeds and it’s independently run. It’s traditional both aesthetically and in the experience. From the little paper tickets, to the drapes in the screen and the ice cream seller at the front before the film comes on. The range is more limited as there is only one screen. However, I find that they always have the most popular children’s movie. We recently went to see Peter Rabbit. As there is only ever one film showing at a time, there’s a community feel as you see the families walking down from nearby streets to watch the film. To top it all off, it’s more reasonably priced than the big chains. The tickets and snacks are both much cheaper. I definitely recommend if you have children. It’s a nicer experience and at a better price.

This place is what foreign people think England is all about (not a bad tbing!). Step through the doors and you're back in time to a fantastically friendly cinema. I've heard it's the last gas-lit cinema in the UK (needs confirmation). Also heard it get a mention on many series/shows including The Infinite Monkey Cage, if alternate sightseeing is your thing. Great rotation of new and old films, events, and Q&As. The staff/volunteers are so friendly and knowledgeable. Also a brill selection of tea/coffee etc.. A Leeds must-see
Love this little Picture House. We went to see Its a Wonderful Life last year. Everyone applauded at the end. Fab evening!

Stunning theatre venue in the heart of the University of Leeds campus. Runs a program of professional and student made work throughout the year. Is a fully disabled accessible building with a decent sized disabled loo. All levels of the theatre can be accessed in a wheelchair ( even the lighting grid!) There is a bar in the foyer and a nice friendly atmosphere. The downside is the disabled parking still has to be paid and is also a short distance from the venue. But having said that I've seen lots of fantastic shows here because it's so much easier to get into than many of the other theatres in town.
